The Flying Shoe Story
Brian : So there’s this one night… Well here Joe, you tell the story. It’s your shoe.
Joe : Hmm. yeah. okay. Well, uh. In the sequel at the end of the first act Hermione… Oh no, no, no… What happens.. uh… Well, you know. Umbridge kicks Hermione in the face for no apparent reason.
Brian : It’s the part where Umbridge kicks Hermione in the face.
Joe : And you know… As Umbridge…. Uhm… And one night. I kicked with such force that the shoe… on my foot… went flying straight up and it went STRAIGHT up and then…
Dylan : And in the theater, there’s like a grid where there’s all kinds of … crap of there basically.
Joe : So it jangled around in the crap… in the grid. And.. Uhm…
Dylan : Pause! There was a pause…
Brian : Cause the ceiling is probably 15ft high at the most.
Joe : So it went ‘dunk, dunk, dunk’. It hit some lights and then came back down exactly.. almost exactly in the same spot … and then it bounced a little bit.
And there was this moment where everyone on stage took a split second to look at the shoe. And then returned to the scene as if nothing had happened.
Brian : They were trying to make it seem like that shoe didn’t fly into space and come back.
Joe : So everyone is trying to say their next line except there was a complete meltdown. And one by one everyone started laughing and I’m trying to remember… you need to go back to the video but it’s like Joey … is giggling.
Dylan : Joey is the one that set it off.
Joe : So Joey’s going like *laughs*
Brian : Joey had a look on his face like ‘there is nothing i can do and i’m sorry.’
Dylan : Other than laugh.
